Based on the statistics, Japan''s new construction areas were increased by 11.6 million square meters in October, at high level in past three years, of which residential housing accounted for 7 million square meters and non-residential housing accounted for 4.6 million square meters.

Japan''s disaster prevention and reconstruction budget has been increased in the next fiscal year, sales volume of rebar reached around 740,000 tons in October, and domestic inventory was at a lower level of 69.5%. The demand gap caused by natural disasters in September has been fully filled.
On the other hand, the US-China trade war continued to prolong. If China''s domestic steel demand were declined, China mills will inevitably turn to increase export sales and cause price competition, so China''s policy was crucial for the global market.
